Interests: I have an assortment of interests...love to play all sorts of board and video games, reading, music (especially tuba). However, my main interest lies in learnings....science may be my major love, but history would be my "mistress" (as is math).
Expertise: I have done some neurobiology research on the sea slug Tritonia diomedea, so I guess that makes me a psuedo-expert. That's about the only thing I think qualifies in this area. Oh, and I can play a little tuba and bass guitar.

NOTE: The following post is not for the weak of heart :)

The "No More Gross Lab" Song
(Set to the chorus of "The Battle of New Orleans")

Well, we cut through the flesh and we cut through the fat
We probed in places where the mold wouldn't grow
We sawed through bones and limbs began to flyin'
On down to Dr. Tank and the next pratical

Forecast for snow/ice in Arkansas this weekend.....

Everywhere around the state, grocery store owners are wetting themselves with excitement over this prediction.

Here's hoping the weather isn't too bad so that Cadaver Ball goes off without a hitch.

physiology test one is done.  overall, not too bad.

don't you just love it when teachers ask random test questions psuedo-related to their material as opposed to what they actually taught?

Hope everyone had a safe New Year's Eve/Day. May your New Year be filled with much joy and happiness.

This post will be random thoughts and ideas, as I have many unconnected things to say.

My goals for the New Year:

1. Become more physically fit -- Pretty self explanatory. I just want to eat better and improve overall physical well being.

2. Expand outside of class reading. '05 was a down year for my reading expeditions. Fortunately, I received some good literature for Christmas and have already made a dent in those books. Speaking of which...

Book Review: 1776 by David McCullough

One of the most exciting history books I've ever read. Even if you aren't a big histroy buff, this book is worth checking out at your local library. McCullough's style is enjoyable and has a definate flow to it. Emotionally, you feel the highs and lows of our nation's birth year, from victory at Boston to the dreadful American retreat across New Jeresy late in the year. McCullough's writing style allows the men of the era to tell their story. Very rarely does he get judgemental; his facts do the majority of the judging.

Overall, well worth your time. Pick it up in the library and read the first 10 pages or so and give it a shot. People are too afraid of history. This book has nothing in it to cause fear. It is a defining biography of our nation's birth year and the men who made that year meaningful to the world.

4.5 out of 5

Other random thoughts:

Back to school comes early (Tues.) for med students. The hardest two months of the first year lie ahead. We'll see how it goes.

Last night's activities were fun and enjoyable for the Morrison household. A quiet evening spent with friends provided more entertainment than I ever thought imaginable...no ball drop necessary.

2006 is still no different than any other year in that, if you looked the word "American" in a dictionary, you would find the definition would be Ben Franklin.

Good night all.
